Description:
Devi Foundation Trust conducts comprehensive free health camps in rural Gorakhpur every 15 days — rotating across villages in Gagaha, Bansgaon, Gola Bazar, Barwal Digar, and Khakhaijkhor blocks. These camps bring together trained health workers, qualified doctors, diagnostic equipment, and a full stock of essential medicines, entirely free of charge.

Camps are announced a week in advance through local panchayats and WhatsApp community networks. Walk-ins are welcome, and no ID is required. Every attendee receives a baseline vitals check — blood pressure, weight, height, SpO₂, and pulse rate — followed by blood tests for CBC, blood sugar, and lipid profile, plus a 12-lead ECG for patients above 40 or with cardiac symptoms.

Results are reviewed on-site by a qualified physician, who provides a personalised consultation and prescription. Patients needing specialist follow-up are referred to Pandit Devi Prasad Mishra Charitable Hospital. All prescribed medicines are dispensed free — no patient leaves without treatment.

Since 2023, the Trust has conducted over 80 such camps, serving more than 2,400 patients — enabling early detection of diabetes, hypertension, anaemia, and cardiac conditions in populations that had previously received little preventive healthcare.
