Description:
Every winter, Devi Foundation Trust mobilises a wide-scale distribution of blankets, warm clothing, and essential supplies for the most vulnerable members of rural communities — the elderly, widows, daily-wage workers, homeless individuals, and BPL families. Over 5,000 blankets have been distributed to date, with village-level distribution camps conducted in coordination with local panchayats.

The program prioritises those with no family support system — individuals who would otherwise face the harsh Gorakhpur winter without adequate protection. Beneficiary identification is done in partnership with panchayat leaders and local social workers, ensuring relief reaches those who need it most, rather than being distributed indiscriminately.

This work sits alongside the Trust’s other welfare programs — seed distribution for farmers, water conservation, and education support — as part of a broader belief that dignity in rural life means addressing every season and every vulnerability that poverty creates.

A donation of ₹5,000 provides blankets for 20 families this winter. If you’d like to contribute to this year’s drive, or nominate a village for coverage, reach out to us at devifoundationtrust@gmail.com or +91 80765 22011.
