Description:
Devi Foundation Trust was established on 23 January 2021 by Smt. Indravati Mishra of Village Barwal Digar, Gorakhpur — named in memory of her late husband, Shri Devi Prasad Mishra. What began as a personal commitment to honour a life of service grew into a registered public charitable trust reaching thousands of families across rural Gorakhpur.

The Trust operates under the Indian Trust Act, 1882, registered with the Sub-Registrar, Gorakhpur (Registration No. 16). Within three years, it secured 12A income tax registration, 80G donation exemption, NGO Darpan enrolment, CSR registration under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and GST registration — reflecting a commitment to transparency and full legal compliance.

Just months after founding, during the COVID-19 crisis, the Trust was already in action — donating pulse oximeters to the Gorakhpur District Administration and coordinating installation of a PSA Oxygen Plant at Gola Bazar Community Health Centre, a facility that still serves thousands annually.

That instinct — to act urgently and practically rather than wait for perfect conditions — remains the hallmark of everything the Trust does today, from fortnightly health camps to the charitable hospital in Bansgaon.
